Payment Options Available at Sydney Cosmetic &
Plastic Surgery Clinic

A common question we receive from both callers and patients at Sydney Cosmetic & Plastic Surgery Clinic is ‘whether we offer finance or payment plans’ to facilitate their treatment or procedure.

As a cosmetic and plastic surgery clinic, we are not permitted to do this.

Prior to the Medical Board of Australia’ s current guidelines, doctors were allowed to refer patients to third parties offering finance plans for medical procedures.

Currently, however, Clause 13.4 of the Medical Board of Australia’s guidelines, specifically states:

‘The medical practitioner must not offer, promote or recommend financing schemes to patients, either directly or through a third party, such as loans or commercial payment plans, as part of the cosmetic surgery. This does not preclude a practitioner from informing patients of accepted payment methods such as credit cards (such as Visa, Mastercard), buy now, pay-later products (such as Afterpay, Openpay, Zip Pay) or from offering the option to pay for cosmetic surgery in instalments in a non-commercial payment arrangement between the medical practitioner and patient.’

At Sydney Cosmetic and Plastic Surgery Clinic, we accept all the following payment methods:

• Cash
• Direct Debit
• Direct Instalment Payments (interest-free but full payment must be made prior to your procedure)
• Debit and Credit Cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex only)
• Buy Now, Pay Later (TLC, Handypay, Afterpay) -see below
