Microdermabrasion uses a jet of fine organic micro-crystals to bombard the skin and gently remove the uppermost layer of ‘dead’ cells. The dead cells and used crystals are together suctioned away by the machine’s handpiece.
By removing the skin’s uppermost layer of dead cells, the skin feels smoother, its enhanced light reflecting properties boosts skin radiance, and skin texture and tone are improved.
Any mild redness usually settles within 24 hours.
Although the exfoliation from microdermabrasion is only superficial, your skin will be more sensitive to sun exposure. Use sun protective measures at all times and apply an effective sunscreen when sun exposure is unavoidable.
As the skin improvements from Microdermabrasion are too fine to be appreciated in before and after photographs on a website, we have not included these on our website page.
